Brian Atyeo

Brian Atyeo was born and raised in Toronto and also the Peterborough area. He worked as a freelance artist during the years before moving to Calgary, taking a position with Nelson MacDonald Design as an illustrator apprentice. Not long after, he ventured on his own to open B.A. Architectural Rendering Services Ltd.

Creative painting in watercolour began in 1981, and the following ten years was an extensive time of experimentation and growth in the medium of watercolour, which demanded not only spontaneity but also great discipline.

Today, personal content is the main focus in Brian's paintings and the change to acrylic paint has better enabled him to further this exploration, while supporting his interest in design. The addition of collage in his most recent works shows a new maturity in both medium and personal expression.

From his home/studio in Halliburton, Ontario, Brian instructs a limited number of painting workshops every year and continues his own studies in the creative process.

Brian's work has been collected in corporate, government and private collections internationally and throughout Canada.
